This is your day on the lake, rather than a fixed list to rush through. Tell us what you love: village streets, photographs, beautiful villas or a long lunch by the water. We create a practical route around your departure point, preferred stops and restaurant reservation.
01 · Settle aboard and follow the shoreline
Board Dolce Far Niente at the agreed meeting point. Your skipper takes care of navigation as lakeside villas, small harbours and colourful villages unfold around you. The scenic stretches and villages included are chosen together when planning your day.
02 · Step ashore in Bellagio
Take time to explore its lanes, browse the little shops or enjoy the waterfront. We agree on the length of your stop so there is time for the other experiences you want to enjoy.
03 · Make time for a lakeside lunch
Arrive by boat near your chosen restaurant and pause for lunch. We help plan the stop around your preferred location and the restaurant’s availability. Time at the table is part of the seven-hour experience; meals and drinks are charged separately by the restaurant.

Step ashore for a walk through Varenna’s village streets and along its waterfront. Enjoy the atmosphere, take photographs and make the most of your time before returning to the boat.

The remaining time is shaped around your interests, whether that means another village view, a scenic cruise past a villa or simply enjoying the journey back. The order of visits, landing points and time ashore are agreed with your skipper according to navigation times, lake conditions and availability.

Seven hours aboard Dolce Far Niente with a skipper, a personalised itinerary, planned stops in Bellagio and Varenna, and a restaurant lunch stop. All cruising and time ashore are included within the seven-hour duration.
Plan the details with us
Send us your date, group size, preferred pickup location and restaurant ideas. We confirm the route, stop lengths, boarding and return points before booking. Restaurant meals, drinks and any attraction entrance tickets are paid separately.
Weather, cancellations & your deposit.
What happens if bad weather is forecast?
We monitor the forecast in the days before your booking. Depending on the expected conditions, we contact you to arrange a change of date or cancellation. If we cancel because of bad weather and you cannot reschedule, we refund the full amount you have paid. Please stay in touch with us before your departure.
When should I cancel my booking?
Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure to receive a refund of your booking deposit. If you cancel less than 48 hours before departure, your booking deposit is not refundable.
What if Rent Boat Como cancels for reasons on its side?
If we cancel your booking for reasons on our side, we refund the full amount you have paid.

You can request a departure from Como, Carate Urio, Cernobbio, Laglio, Torno, Blevio or Argegno for both self-drive boat rental and private boat tours with a skipper.
Tell us your preferred town or hotel when you enquire. We confirm the exact boarding point, boat availability, return arrangements and any transfer charges before booking. Your route and cruising times are adapted to the agreed departure location.
Before you step aboard.
You may bring your own drinks. Food is generally not permitted aboard private tours. Drinks available on board and included in the price depend on the package you choose.
Children are welcome. Include children in your total group size when you enquire. Pets require prior approval: tell us the type of animal and, for a dog, its breed and size, so we can confirm acceptance for your boat.
Swimming is possible when the location and conditions are suitable. Agree any swimming stop with your skipper within your booked programme and duration.
