On the return along Tremezzina, the terraces and sculpted greenery of Villa del Balbianello rise above the water. Continue past Villa La Cassinella and Comacina Island before following the shoreline towards Como.

The four-hour tour adds the opportunity to go ashore and explore the villages independently. Choose between two alternatives, agreed with your skipper:
50 minutes in Bellagio
+ 50 minutes in Varenna
Go ashore in both villages for around 50 minutes each: explore the lanes and waterfront, take photos or enjoy an aperitivo, as time allows.
2 hours in Bellagio
or in Varenna
Prefer to explore one village at a slower pace? Choose Bellagio or Varenna for a single stop of around two hours: explore the centre, enjoy an aperitivo or sit down for a bite before returning aboard.
These are alternative options, and the stops are included within the four-hour tour. The schedule and cruising times are agreed with your skipper according to the boarding point and lake conditions. Village visits are independent. Meals, aperitivi, other refreshments and admission to villas or attractions are not included in the tour price.

Your four-hour Private Luxury Boat Tour
Begin in Como or another agreed boarding location. Cruise past Villa Troubetzkoy, the Mandarin Oriental, Il Sereno and Villa Pliniana, then Pognana Lario and Nesso’s bridge and waterfall. Continue along Lezzeno to Bellagio and onwards to Varenna.
Choose around 50 minutes ashore in Bellagio and 50 in Varenna, or a single stop of around two hours in either village. Walk through the lanes, enjoy the waterfront or stop for an aperitivo or a meal, depending on your selected stop duration. These are alternative options within the four-hour tour.
The return follows Tremezzo, Villa del Balbianello, Villa La Cassinella, Comacina Island and Argegno. Continue past Brienno, Villa Regina Teodolinda and Villa Oleandra in Laglio, then Carate Urio, the Lido di Moltrasio, Villa Fontanelle, Villa Pizzo, Villa d’Este and Villa Erba.

Villas are viewed from the water without interior visits. Village stops in Bellagio and/or Varenna are available according to your chosen option. Route and timing depend on departure location, lake conditions and your skipper’s guidance.
Weather, cancellations & your deposit.
What happens if bad weather is forecast?
We monitor the forecast in the days before your booking. Depending on the expected conditions, we contact you to arrange a change of date or cancellation. If we cancel because of bad weather and you cannot reschedule, we refund the full amount you have paid. Please stay in touch with us before your departure.
When should I cancel my booking?
Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure to receive a refund of your booking deposit. If you cancel less than 48 hours before departure, your booking deposit is not refundable.
What if Rent Boat Como cancels for reasons on its side?
If we cancel your booking for reasons on our side, we refund the full amount you have paid.

Tell us your preferred town or hotel when you enquire. We confirm the exact boarding point, boat availability, return arrangements and any transfer charges before booking. Your route and cruising times are adapted to the agreed departure location.
Before you step aboard.
You may bring your own drinks. Food is generally not permitted aboard private tours. Drinks available on board and included in the price depend on the package you choose.
Children are welcome. Include children in your total group size when you enquire. Pets require prior approval: tell us the type of animal and, for a dog, its breed and size, so we can confirm acceptance for your boat.
Swimming is possible when the location and conditions are suitable. Agree any swimming stop with your skipper within your booked programme and duration.
